The Al-Kitaab fii Ta’allum al-‘Arabiyya series, commonly referred to as Al-Kitaab, is now in its third edition. The series consists of three main textbooks along with a primer Alif Baa that teaches Arabic script and basic vocabulary. The books includes a DVD and a website access card; and vocabulary and lessons are based around the story of an Egyptian family. Each chapter ends with a lesson in Egyptian dialect; the third edition includes Levantine dialect as well as a link to an Al-Kitaab website. The teacher’s edition includes an answer key as well as a free website login.
