قصة الكتاب :
La Vie errante is a travelogue written by Guy de Maupassant and published in 1890 . Through a literary travelogue in the Mediterranean and in North Africa at the end of the xix th century , Maupassant conducted a journalistic investigation, attracted by the exoticism of these countries. On board the \"Bel-Ami II\" he visited the Italian coast , Sicily , sailed from Algiers to Tunis then to Kairouan . He discovered with wonder the bright and welcoming countries of the Maghreb. Sensitive to the beauty of the landscapes and fascinated by the daily life of these inhabitants, he writes several columns which will be published in Le Gaulois and La Revue des deux Mondes.. These chronicles will be gathered in the work La vie errante in 1890 published by Ollendorff editions 1 . A plaque affixed to the pier in 1953 by the writer\'s friends commemorates Maupassant\'s stay at Portofino 2 . This work is a compilation of several chronicles where the chronology of the itinerary is not exact: the text of his only trip to Sicily has appeared, inNovember 1885, in La Nouvelle Revue while the first chapter Lassitude is after the Universal Exhibition (marked by the inauguration of the Eiffel Tower ) of 1889.
