قصة الكتاب :
A Voyage Towards the South Pole and Around the World by James Cook relay incidences and observations he made on his second voyage of exploration in the years 1771-1775. He takes pains to relay positions and the reader must constantly break off reading and look at the maps to understand where he is. Many of the original names have been changed making it imperative to locate the sites on the maps. For some I can well imagine that it could be considered dry and so blandly factual as to be thought boring but the frequent stories and descriptions of the local natives, flora and fauna add enough color to make it readable. This isn’t a book for everyone but could be very informative to others.
