I think the reason for this is the desire to find a light of hope, that gives some moral motivation to continue fighting while not seeing any exit from the great depression that we are going through. Every body will try his best to find away to scape from his fears by being abesnt minded, and there are several ways, starting from using drugs and ending with reading the stars, which i consider its must dangrous because you will link your life with some thing you can not touch it, or be hundered percent sure of it.
